The Pride of Bottling at St. Helena Winery!

This past month, we have been busy in the winery bottling our 2002 wines for release later this year.   These wines have been resting and aging for quite a while now in barrel and we are excited to soon share them with you. We take much pride in crafting our wines, from when the grapes are ripening on the vines to crush season and then as it makes its way into each handcrafted bottle.    There is nothing more gratifying than seeing the finished product in the bottle when we can then share our experience and wine with you!

For the 2002 vintage we have only produced Sympa, our reserve level Cabernet Sauvignon wine. The 2002 harvest produced a remarkable crop of grapes and we felt the quality warranted only producing our highest caliber wine. For this reason, we will not release a 2002 Scandale. We are currently taking advance orders for our 2002 Sympa, for those of you who want to guarantee you receive this wine before we sell out!   Click here to order.

In the News

Jon Bonne of MSNBC.com recently featured our Adopt-a-Vine Program in an article published on June 9. We were very pleased to share our story with him as well as invite others to join our adoption program and experience a piece of Napa Valley. It’s like they’re able to buy a vineyard themselves! We have signed up over 150 new adopters to our vines since the article ran. Click here to read the article.

It’s never to late to sign up your own family and friends and adopt a vine. Visit our website to order.

Bordeaux Here We Come!

Finally, we'd like to let you know that Paulette and I will be away from the winery on vacation this month.   We are excited to visit family and friends in the Bordeaux region of France. We take this vacation every year and we always seem to return home with many new memories and stories to share with you. We will make sure to take plenty of pictures to share with you, as well. We’re hoping during this trip that we can visit Le Cordon Bleau and possibly get some tips from their famous chefs on delicious wine and food pairings, and wonderful new wine recipes. If so, we’ll be sure to share them with you.

Thank you for reading and best wishes from St. Helena Winery.
