2011 Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay
Winemaker Aaron Pott made this Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay with Burgundy in mind. It is fermented in French oak and aged ‘sur lie’ for 17 months prior to bottling which makes it elegant yet weighty…sophisticated yet seductive.
Whole cluster press, native yeast fermentation, barrel aged in 100% new French oak.
Aromas hint of jasmine, pie crust and lemon meringue. Flavors evoke notions of peach and lemon with a touch of nutmeg on the finish. The wine has crisp, balanced acidity and mineral notes.
