Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Once in a while, with extraordinary vintages, a special lot of wine is discovered in the cellar. We carved this small lot wine out of the cellar to create the first vintage of our "Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon" in 2010.

Each year, our winemakers strive to select a few outstanding barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon to create our estate's most dense, intense and age-worthy wine. Not surprisingly, this special cuvee tends to originate on the rocky soils of "Block One" on the south side of our estate, where our oldest vines live. The soil, clonal selection and farming practices yield very small berries with intense flavors and tannins. The resulting wines, called Grand Reserve, are our most highly-acclaimed by the industry's most respected pundits.

The lauded 2021 vintage will be released during fall 2024.
